Reggae Roots Rotterdam is located in the beautiful Zuiderpark in Rotterdam. You can find the entrance to the festival next to Ahoy.
Travel
Parking space is limited, please come by public transport. There are many options to get to Reggae Roots Rotterdam by metro or bus. From Zuidplein Station it’s a 900 meter walk to the entrance of the festival.
The closest bus station is Ikazia Ziekenhuis. From here, it’s a 350 meter walk to the entrance of the festival. This stop is wheelchair accessible.
Follow the signs to the Kiss & Ride and Taxi drop off point. From there, it’s a 300 meter walk to the entrance of the festival.
If you travel by plane, you can either travel to Schiphol Amsterdam Airport or to Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Take the train to Rotterdam Centraal Station.

Minimum age
All ages are allowed at Reggae Roots Rotterdam. Please note all visitors need a valid ticket to enter Reggae Roots Rotterdam. Children aged 0 up to and including 11 years need a free kids ticket. Children aged 12 years or older need a valid ticket. Age will be checked. Proof of identification is required for everyone. Valid proof of identity is a passport, identity card and driver’s license. All children up to the age of 18 years old need to be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for the child.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
Since Reggae Roots Rotterdam is a festival, there are some things you cannot bring with you.
What can you bring?
- Sun screen, as long as it is a stick or tube. Sprays and liquids are not allowed. There is free sunscreen available on site
- A small folding chair

- All items that are forbidden by Dutch law or deemed dangerous by Reggae Roots Rotterdam.

Accessibility
We are committed to making Reggae Roots Rotterdam accessible to everyone. In 2026, the venue is undergoing an accessibility assessment conducted by Marianne Dijkshoorn of Welkom Toegankelijkheid & Evenementen. Marianne is an expert in inclusion and accessibility at events.
Reggae Roots Rotterdam has implemented special facilities specifically for people with disabilities.
All visitors to Reggae Roots Rotterdam must have a valid ticket. No separate accessible tickets are available for purchase. Do you need a companion to be able to visit the festival? Please email us at info@reggaeroots.nl. We’ll be happy to arrange a ticket for your companion.

There is an accessible gateway at the main entrance of Reggae Roots Rotterdam. This will be extra wide and accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, strollers, etcetera.
Are you arriving by (adapted) bicycle? If so, we recommend using the bicycle parking area at the festival grounds, right next to the entrance. We have space here for standard bicycles, cargo bikes, tricycles, etc. Having trouble finding your way? Feel free to ask our staff on site for help.
Public Transportation The Zuidplein metro station is the closest metro/tram stop. It is located about one kilometer from the entrance to Reggae Roots. This station is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair Taxi Drop-off
Are you coming by wheelchair taxi? We’d be happy to reserve a spot for wheelchair taxis—please let us know in advance at info@reggaeroots.nl. You can have the wheelchair taxi drive to P1, which is P Ahoy, Ahoyweg 10, Rotterdam. From there, it’s about 250 meters to the entrance of Reggae Roots.
Parking
There are a few accessible parking spots at P1 (P Ahoy, Ahoyweg 10 Rotterdam) for people with a disability parking permit. This parking is about 250 meters from the entrance to the festival grounds. Would you like to bring a folding chair because you have trouble standing for long periods of time? That’s allowed. There will also be plenty of seating available on the grounds.
Mobility scooter
You are allowed to bring a mobility scooter onto the festival grounds.

Medication
There will be a security check and bag inspection at the entrance. Backpacks or bags of similar size are permitted. If you need to bring medication, this is allowed. Please bring the medication in its original packaging with the package insert. Make sure you only carry a one-day supply of medication and no more.
Service Dog
You are permitted to bring a service dog to the festival. However, we would like to emphasize that the noise level and crowds, combined with a dog, are not a favorable combination. We therefore ask you to carefully consider whether bringing your service dog will place too much strain on the dog. This guidance aligns with the advice from KNGF Guide Dogs. They state on their website that in places with large crowds and loud noises, a dog can no longer perform its tasks properly and will consequently lose its function as a guide or service dog.

Lockers
You can rent a locker by scanning a QR code on our website or on-site. Lockers are assigned randomly by the system. If you need help putting your belongings in or taking them out of the locker, feel free to ask our staff at the lockers for assistance.
Walkways
The grounds are partly paved paths. Where necessary, the terrain has been leveled with walkways, which are also wheelchair accessible. Please note that there are slight elevation differences between the walkways/terraces and the ground itself.
Viewing Platform / Wheelchair Spaces
We do not have a viewing platform or designated wheelchair spaces. We have found in the past that such a platform created unsafe situations. The grounds are spacious, providing a good view of the stage from multiple locations, including from a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
Wheelchair accessible restroom
A wheelchair accessible restroom is available near the first aid station and the restroom area. Need assistance? Feel free to ask our first aid staff for help at the first aid station.
Changing Place
There is no Changing Place or space for lying-down care available as standard. Do you need this? Please contact the organizers at info@reggaeroots.nl. We will then work with you to find a suitable solution. Please let us know at least one week before the festival.
Deaf and hard-of-hearing
At Reggae Roots Rotterdam, important information is indicated with text and pictograms. Large screens displaying information are located next to the stage. A sign language interpreter is not provided as standard. Do you need one? Please contact the organization at info@reggaeroots.nl. We’d be happy to arrange a sign language interpreter.
Chill zone
There is a chill zone for people with cognitive disabilities. You can take a moment to relax here. The area is located next to the first aid station. Would you like to use this area? Please ask at the first aid station.
Dietary options
There are about 20 food stands at Reggae Roots. There is a wide variety of dishes, including halal, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Do you have a food allergy? Then, with a doctor’s note, you may bring your own food to Reggae Roots to ensure you can eat safely.
Information Point
There are large information towers on the grounds with various ways to contact the organization. You can always direct your questions and/or comments to the bar staff or security. These staff members are happy to assist you and can call the appropriate person if necessary.

Lockers
Reserve your locker online
Do you want to guarantee a locker for Reggae Roots Rotterdam? Reserve one online in advance!The lockers can be reserved through our partner Eventsafe. Reserved a locker online? On July 3rd you will receive an e-mail and SMS from Eventsafe, containing your personal locker number and the pincode. Upon arrival at Reggae Roots Rotterdam, you only have to find the locker and open it with the given pincode.

There is a limited amount of lockers at the festival. Reserve one online to guarantee a locker.
ATTENTION:
Make sure you empty out the entire locker before leaving the festival premises.Renting a locker is at your own risk. The organisation and Eventsafe cannot be held responsible for any damage to or theft of belongings.

By purchasing a ticket or visiting the festival, you agree to the terms and conditions and the house rules below:
Visitors must be in possession of a valid entrance ticket
At the request of security and staff, identification is required.
Reggae Roots Festival uses the Inside = Inside policy
Bringing your own drinks and/or food is not allowed.
It is forbidden to possess or bring along to the Event any cameras, spray cans, sprays, selfiesticks, drones, glassware, plastic bottles, tins, (alcoholic) beverages, food, drugs, flammable substances, fireworks, (fire) arms and/or other dangerous objects. Reggae Roots is entitled to confiscate these items or any items deemed dangerous. Any confiscated items shall not be returned but destroyed. Upon detection of possession of any weapons or objects that can be used as weapons, you will be turned over to the Police.
Reggae Roots Festival has a Zero Tolerance policy on (hard & soft) drugs: The possession or trade of hard & soft drugs is not allowed at the festival. Upon discovery of (open) use, dealing and/or possession, it will be confiscated and/or handed over to the police. Pre-rolled joints are not permitted.
All visitors under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult (25 years or older). Maximum three children per adult.
Consumption and purchase of alcholic beverages is prohibited for visitors under the age of 18. It is forbidden for adults to pass on alcohol to visitors under the age of 18.
Upon entering the premises one automatically agrees to voluntary search.
Aggression (including verbal) and threats to staff or security personnel, as well as destruction of property are prohibited, and will result in expulsion.
Unwanted intimacies, racism and discrimination are not permitted and will lead to expulsion. Instructions from the staff or security service must be followed.
If we suspect that a gathering is causing nuisance, danger and/or inconvenience to third parties, we reserve the right to immediately deny the gatherers access and/or remove them from the event grounds.
Theft will always be reported to the police.
Animals/pets are not allowed on the festival grounds.
Peeing outside the toilets is stricly forbidden. Be gentle with nature in our beautiful park and help to keep it clean.
Tokens are the only payment method on the festival grounds. Tokens cannot be redeemed for money.
Video and audio recordings are not allowed on the festival grounds, except with the express written permission of the organization.
You are obligated to comply with the house rules and general terms and conditions, and to follow all regulations and instructions given by event staff.
For all cases and/or situations not covered by the house rules, the organization reserves the right to establish additional rules, either verbally or in writing, to which visitors are bound.
If you do not agree with the above house rules, you will be refused entry, without the right to reimbursement of the cost of the ticket and any service charges.

Payment
Pin Only
On Reggae Roots Rotterdam, you can only pay by card. All bars, food stands and other stands are pin only. All generally accepted cards will be accepted, including credit cards.Cash Cards
Do you want to use cash? Next to the Healing Area, you can find the cash cards counter. You can put your cash on a card, which can be used to pay at all stands at Reggae Roots except the Arts & Craft Market, since these payments don’t go through Reggae Roots Rotterdam.Please note: Cash Cards have a 1 euro processing fee. You can put any amount on the card if you have it in exact change, but we can only change in units of 10 euros. Once the money is on the card, you cannot get a return for your money. The card only works at Reggae Roots Rotterdam on July 3, 2027. Any money left over on the card will be donated to the charities of Stichting Royal Roots Corner.
