Terms and conditions
To ensure everything runs smoothly and all visitors have a pleasant festival, the organization has established a number of house rules, including the admission policy.
By purchasing a ticket or attending the festival, you agree to the terms and conditions below and the house rules.
Ticket Sales and Admission
Tickets are available through the website and at authorized sales outlets. Do not purchase tickets from third parties: there is no guarantee that these are genuine tickets. It is prohibited to resell tickets unlawfully. This applies, for example, to situations where profit is made from purchased tickets. The organization reserves the right to prohibit sales.
You can use a secure swap service via www.ticketswap.nl. Are you unable to attend the festival? Or do you want to buy an extra ticket, but the event is sold out through regular channels? Reggae Roots Rotterdam recommends only selling and purchasing second-hand tickets through Ticketswap. Selling/purchasing tickets through other channels is discouraged. Buying/selling second hand tickets is always at your own risk.
Purchased tickets are strictly personal, non-transferable, and non-refundable. Each ticket has a unique code that will be scanned at the festival entrance. Every visitor must have a valid, unique ticket and valid identification upon entering the event venue. Only children up to 3 years old get free admission.
Children up to the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, aged 25 years or older, with a maximum of 3 children per guardian.
If any irregularities are detected, such as counterfeit and/or duplicate tickets, or an attempt to gain entry without a valid ticket, admission will be denied and the incident will be reported to the police.
Upon entering the festival, visitors may be frisked at the request of security. A request to do so may also be made during the festival, and visitors must comply with these requests.
During the festival, visitors must be able to identify themselves, in accordance with legal identification requirements, with one of the following forms of identification: passport, Dutch identity card or driver’s license.
Pets, food and drinks, professional recording equipment, and goods that violate Dutch law brought by visitors are not permitted at the festival.
Objects/products that the festival organizers or security personnel deem to be dangerous are not permitted at the festival. This includes products with an explosive hazard in solid, liquid, or gaseous form, fireworks or pyrotechnic articles, bottles, tins, fluids, umbrellas, selfie sticks, camera tripods, drugs, (fire) arms, and the like. Any confiscated items shall not be returned but destroyed. Upon detection of possession of any weapons or objects that can be used as weapons, you will be turned over to the Police.
Drugs and alcohol
The festival has a Zero Tolerance policy on (hard & soft) drugs: The possession or trade of hard & soft drugs is not allowed at the festival. Upon discovery of (open) use, dealing and/or possession, it will be confiscated and/or handed over to the police.
Consumption and purchase of alcholic beverages is prohibited for visitors under the age of 18. It is forbidden for adults to pass on alcohol to visitors under the age of 18.
General Liability
Entering the festival is entirely at the visitor's own risk.
The organizers cannot be held liable in any way for any damage to visitors and/or their property, whether or not caused by third parties. The organizers are not responsible for, and cannot be held liable in any way for, the services and products provided by participating businesses, nor for any damages resulting from these.
The organizers can not be held liable in any way for any changes to the program due to force majeure. In the event of force majeure due to an artist's cancellation, an attempt will be made to find a suitable replacement.
If the festival cannot take place (partially) due to force majeure, for example, due to strikes or weather conditions that make entering the festival unsafe for visitors, or anything beyond the organizers' control, the organizers cannot be held liable in any way. No refunds will be made for any costs incurred.
No refund will be made for any costs incurred by the organizer.
Pets
Due to hygiene regulations, pets are not allowed at the festival.

Children may have their face painted during the festival. It is possible that an (allergic) reaction may occur. Face painting is at your own risk.
The person applying the face paint uses hypoallergenic paint and observes proper hygiene measures, such as product expiration dates and the use of hygienic brushes, sponges, and paintbrushes. Furthermore, the person applying the face paint is aware of existing allergies and the correct way to act as quickly as possible in the event of an allergy.
An (allergic) reaction can occur within seconds or minutes. Accurate information is available from both the face paint artists and the organizers.
